About Sherrie Begay (Fani' Iskanno'si')
Chickasaw Online Language Arts was founded by Sherrie Begay (Fani' Iskanno'si'). Sherrie is a Certified Chickasaw Language Instructor, and an expert in Chickasaw grammar.
After building the first successful online Chickasaw language grammar course, back in 2015, she refocused on her original passion of why she started teaching: Producing Chickasaw Speakers.
You’ll find that her approach to teaching Chickasaw is amazingly effective. She developed it over five years ago, and it has helped her realize her dream of producing many Chickasaw speakers, no matter their age or lack of prior knowledge.
More specifically, she uses the perfect blend of activities, from the fastest methods of language learning in the world, to produce fun, engaging lessons that students rave about. And because it’s super low stress, learning Chickasaw is nearly automatic.

9th Annual Students and Teachers Meet-up
Chickasaw Festival 2023
Chickasaw Online Language Arts Students and affiliates turned out in mass at this years Chickasaw Festival. Although we meet online a couple times a week, for several weeks of the year, it was great to meet-up in person and share a meal at our favorite Barbecue restaurant.
Many more couldn't make it to the photo ops, but I'm so thankful for everyone who came, and so proud of all the progress the students are making!
